EZ-S SimpDo Blood Glucose Monitoring System

Intended Use

The SimpDo™ blood glucose monitoring system is designed for in vitro diagnostic use only and is intended for the quantitative measurement of glucose in fresh capillary whole blood. It is suitable for both home or professional use.

The system may also be used by the healthcare professionals for the quantitative measurement of glucose in venous blood provided the sample is used within 30 minutes of collection.

The SimpDo™ blood glucose monitor produced by CS Innovation can only be used with the SimpDo™blood glucose test strip. The use of any other test sensors or strips may give false results. Please read carefully all the instructions about the product before use.

Principle

The test strip employs disposable dry reagent chemistry technology, based on the enzyme method for glucose determination. Each test strip contains a special enzyme. When a drop of blood is applied to the target area of the test strip, the enzyme catalyzes the oxidation of glucose in the drop and produces the substance which can transfer the electrons quickly on strip surface. During the reaction, the electrochemical mediator transfers the electrons to the strip surface. This in return generates a current that is measured by the SimpDo™ monitor. The size of the current generated is proportional to the amount of glucose presents in the blood, thus giving an accurate reading of the blood glucose concentration.

About the product

The portable SimpDo™ test system is made up of test monitor and test strip.

1. Test Monitor

The Test Port is the slot in the monitor where you insert the calibrator or a test strip (both described on the following).

The button is used to turn the monitor off and to recall information stored in the monitor.

The Display Window displays messages and information stored in the monitor.

2. Test Strip

Each box of test strips contains one test strip cylinder, one calibrator and one instruction sheet.
The lot number, calibration code and expiration date are printed on the cylinder and the box of test strips.

Contact bars are the end of the test strip used to contact the test monitor.
The Sample applying area is where the drop of blood applied for testing.

Contact bars are the end of the test strip used to contact the test monitor.
The calibration code is printed on the calibrator.

Instructions for use (1-2-3)

  1. Insert the test strip to the monitor.
  2. Apply blood to the test strip.
  3. The result (in mg/dL or mmol/L) appears in 30 seconds.
